Everything we know about the Galaxy Note 20

Image
Samsung is holding a virtual event on August 5, where it's expected to unveil its next major addition to its smartphone lineup: the Galaxy Note 20. Alongside it, however, there are rumors that we might see anything from new earbuds to wearables and even foldables.     Galaxy Note 20 leaks & rumors      Leaks show that the Galaxy Note 20 will have a design similar to the Galaxy S20 or Galaxy S20 Ultra. Galaxy Note 20 will have a rectangular camera array unlike the vertical arrangement employed by the Note 10 series. Its also rumored that the physical keys will be re-positioned on the right side of the phone.      Galaxy Note 20 will come in two variants: a standard Note 20 which will reportedly have a flat 6.7-inch 60 Hz 2345 x 1084 display as well as a bigger Note 20 Ultra which will have a curved 6.9-inch 120 Hz 3200 x 1440 display. It is also rumored that the Galaxy Note 20 will have a glass-looking plastic back. If that happens then the Galaxy Note 20 should have a sign

OnePlus Nord Launched! Initial Impressions And Quick Run Down Of All Its Features

Image
OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus Nord with the world's first A ugmented R eality launch event which was very cool itself. OnePlus' prices have increased with every iteration and have gotten out of hand. Its not just OnePlus though, smartphone prices have crossed well above the $1,000 mark for some time now which has led to a significant increase in importance of the mid-range market with brands like Apple reviving the iPhone SE and Samsung producing huge numbers with its mid-range A-series smartphones.       But OnePlus started this trend of offering high-end performance and features for a reasonable and affordable price. Back then, OnePlus didn't have a strong presence and appeal. So, with the OnePlus Nord, OnePlus is aiming to go back to its roots and is trying to reach as many people as they can.     For a $500 phone, the OnePlus Nord actually has "p retty much everything you could ask for."     So, let's get the numbers out of the way.     The OnePlus Nord

Intel’s Thunderbolt 4: Everything you need to know about Intel’s new standard

Image
Intel has announced the details for its upcoming Thunderbolt 4 connection standard, which will be built on top of the also forthcoming USB4 specification. It's hard to get excited for a new interface protocol, I get it. But Intel's upcoming Thunderbolt 4 tech could end up making your next PC a lot more capable than today's systems. Just imagine hooking up two 4K displays to an impossibly thin and sleek ultraportable, which also happens to support data speeds twice as fast as Thunderbolt 3 systems.      While precise release dates haven’t been announced yet, Intel has released developer kits and certification testing for manufacturers and has announced the Thunderbolt 4 8000 series controller, which will work with all current Thunderbolt 3 PCs and similar devices. The series will begin with JHL8540 and JHL8340 host controllers for computers, and the JHL8440 device controller for accessories.      The first Thunderbolt 4 connections will appear on select laptops toward th

How Twitter was hacked in a gigantic bitcoin scam.

Image
Major US Twitter accounts hacked in Bitcoin scam.      Multiple high-profile Twitter accounts were hijacked on Wednesday, with some of the platform's top voices - including President Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Kanye West, Michael Bloomberg, and Apple - used to solicit digital currency.      Twitter completely disabled the ability for verified accounts to send new tweets following the massive hack. Unverified accounts were still able to tweet normally, and verified accounts appeared to be able to retweet existing tweets.      "Everyone is asking me to give back," a tweet from Mr Gates' account said. "You send $1,000, I send you back $2,000."     In the four hours the tweets were live, the bitcoin wallet promoted in the tweets received over $120,000 via at least 300 transactions.     But how did this happened?     The company revealed that its own internal employee tools were compromised and used in the hack.      “We detected what we

Here's why Amazon' Crucible was pulled from the stores and reverted to closed beta.

Crucible , a  free-to-play team-based action shooter, which took over 5 years and million of dollars to develop was pulled from the stores and reverted to closed beta after a rocky launch. Crucible dropped off from the charts just after the first week and was pulled from the stores after a month.      In a blog post published Tuesday, franchise lead Colin Johanson says the focus is now on ”providing the best possible experience for our players as we continue to make the game better,” and so the game will be reverting back to a pre-release state to give the studio the space to make changes and plan a more robust launch.      “We’ll continue following the roadmap we laid out previously and working on map, combat, and system changes to improve the Heart of the Hives experience as well as implementing other improvements based on your feedback and what we think the game needs in order to thrive,” Johanson writes.      The move is a rather stunning admission of failure surrounding Crucib

Snapdragon 865 Plus is the first Qualcomm SoC to break the 3 GHz clock speed barrier

Image
The Snapdragon 865 is undoubtedly the most impressive processor for Android phones right now, owing to its all-around power, bundled 5G modem, and expansive multimedia capabilities. The company thinks it can offer something a little better for the second half of the year, as they announced the new Snapdragon 865 Plus, which is aimed at offering a performance boost for phones released between now and the beginning of 2021.      Qualcomm has done the same for previous-generation chips, too. As we saw with the Snapdragon 855 Plus in 2019 and the Snapdragon 821 back in 2016, the Snapdragon 865 Plus delivers improved speeds for the Prime CPU core and for the Adreno 650 GPU. The Prime CPU core now sees a leap from 2.84GHz to 3.1GHz, breaking the 3GHz barrier in the process. The other CPU cores don’t see any changes though. The Adreno 650 GPU offers 10 percent faster graphics rendering.       It has newly added compatibility for Qualcomm’s FastConnect 6900 connectivity suite, which the c

Amazon's 'New World' MMO is delayed

Image
Amazon' upcoming colonial online RPG, New World, was supposed to arrive on 25th August with closed beta starting from 23rd July but Amazon has pushed the release to spring of 2021. It's also delaying the title's final beta test to that same time frame.       The New World team wants to add “more features and content before we share it with a wider audience,” including “plenty of middle and endgame experiences,” studio director Rich Lawrence said in a blog post. "We want our players to feel completely immersed in the game, and know that our studio stands for quality and lasting gameplay you can trust -- and that means added time to get things where we want them before we fully release," he said.      T here’s still an early access opportunity: if you signed up for the beta on or before July 9th, already pre-ordered the game, or are a current alpha tester “in good standing,” you’ll be able to participate in a first-hand look at New World in its current state fo

Halo 3 is arriving on PC via The Master Chief Collection on July 14th

Image
Almost 13 long years after it debuted on Xbox 360, Microsoft has finally announced that Halo 3 will be arriving on PC on July 14th at 10 AM PT via The Master Chief Collection. PC players will be able to buy Halo 3 on the Microsoft Store or through Steam, and it will be available for free as part of Xbox Game Pass for PC subscriptions.      It’s only been a couple of months since 343 Industries released the Halo 2: Anniversary, but it’s not too surprising that the gap was fairly short, given 343 Industries has been beta testing Halo 3 publicly over the last few weeks. Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4 are expected to hit PC by the end of the year.      2007's Halo 3 is regarded by many Halo fans to be among the very best Halo games, originally developed by Bungie (happy Bungie day!), Halo 3 is the final chapter in the original trilogy of Halo games. Halo 3 is the final chapter in the original trilogy of Halo games.      Halo 3 has been optimised for PC, with up to 4K UHD and 60fps suppor

OnePlus is launching a budget smartphone. Here's everything we know so far.

Image
OnePlus launched the $700 OnePlus 8 and $900 OnePlus 8 Pro earlier this year, but the company is already planning its next major smartphone launch: The OnePlus Nord. The OnePlus Nord is the newest smartphone from OnePlus, marking the company's return to its roots as a maker of low-cost handsets that still sport the kind of features you'd find in a flagship.       But OnePlus Nord is more than just a phone —Nord is actually a product line of affordable devices that pack in premium capabilities. Though, OnePlus is yet to reveal the Nord phone or other devices that will make up the Nord family.      Here's everything we know about the OnePlus Nord. Unlike other OnePlus phones which are focused on speed and performance, the OnePlus Nord is focused on price. The OnePlus Nord is expected to be priced under $500 which means that it will be in direct competition with the iPhone SE and Samsung Galaxy A71. The OnePlus Nord will support 5G connectivity, making it one of the cheap
