Amazon Games to launch New World, an open world MMO in August. Entering closed beta on July 23rd.

    Amazon's New World is arriving later than expected but you can give it a try since the closed beta is going to start from July 23rd. In fact, you can sign up right now. The complete game is announced to arrive on 25th August. A new trailer shows that, unlike other games of the same genre where stats seem to matter heavily, reflexes and tactics are a key feature of the gameplay. 

    The title is about colonialism during the age of exploration with a supernatural twist where the settlers try to survive as they fight on a magical island. The stakes are high for Amazon as they are trying to prove that they can compete with big rivals in the industry.
